Pallida Mors
I was born out ov my bludgeoned body
Forever guarding my accursed grave
I will not pray to God for my soul to take
My lovers hand held the blade
That ended my life for treacherous greed
I will not pray to God for my soul to take
Pallida Mors, I am pale death
Vengeance from the grave
Through the halls I pace, dragging the chains that bound me
Jury, judge, and executioner to all whom enter
Through the ages I've claimed the souls of the brave
Whom dare to disturb my sanctuary
Pallida Mors, I am pale death
Vengeance from the grave
Kill the innocent and the guilty
In mercy I do not partake, love is but a tragedy, in death I have found meaning
A blissfulness ov which I do attest
Through the halls I pace, dragging the chains that bound me
Jury, judge, and executioner to all whom enter
Through the ages I've claimed the souls of the brave
Whom dare to disturb my sanctuary
Confined with in these walls my body was left to rot
Desecrated by maggots, a knife in my neck
Betrayed by my only beloved
Pallida Mors, I am pale death
Vengeance from the grave
Symphonic stuff in metal doesn’t make its way into my collection aside from a couple of early Cradle albums. The orch here though just ads to how huge this band sounds. It makes elements in the songs more immersive. There are plenty of breaks from orchestration where its in deathcore/slamming brutality mode. While not ignorant, the songs never play with time or get mathy making it accessible and memorable. Came out 2015? Impressed. Mitch Mitcherson
Very well-balanced indeed. Everything here screams talent and professionalism, from the music to the production. Technical without showing off, brutal without sacrificing musicality... This is a great record. Nekobibu
As scalding as hot lava, the latest from French group Non Serviam collides black metal brutality with industrial grind. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 3, 2023
The Alberta crushers hold tight to their rank, astral-gazing grindcore, staring down abyssal torment all the while. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 31, 2020
